Veto AB 1349: Protect Independent Venues
Late amendments rewrote AB 1349 into a bill that puts independent venues at legal risk. We are asking Governor Newsom to veto it. Bill status: Passed the Legislature on August 31, 2026 and is now on the Governor’s desk. The Senate passed the amended bill 29–5 and the Assembly concurred in the Senate amendments the same day. Veto requested.
